Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has applauded the spiritual and physical commitment of Bishop Wilfred Anagbe to the propagation of the gospel of Christ and his infrastructural development in Makurdi Diocese.

Governor Ortom stated this recently during a Holy Mass organised for the celebration of the Bishop’s 25th Priestly Ordination Anniversary.

The Governor, who noted with happiness the commitment of the celebrant to save lives during the incessant attacks and killings masterminded by the Fulani herdsmen, also described the celebrant as a man who works for justice, transparency, and is a bridge builder, peace maker, and dependable fellow who deserved prayers for him to succeed.

Also speaking, Cardinal John Onaiyekan congratulated the celebrant on his 25th priestly ordination anniversary and advised him to maintain commitment and selfless service for the development of the society.

Commenting, Chairman, CPC, Rev Fr. Theophilus Hwande, observed that Bishop Anagbe was working hard to add value to the development of the church and other issues that are beneficiary to the society while Reverend Father Emmanuel Edeh in a homily described the celebrant as a fearless, but very obedient servant of God.
