The people of Ado Local Government Area of Benue State have assured Governor Samuel Ortom of total votes in the forthcoming election.
They gave the assurance recently during a solidarity visit on the Governor at the Benue Peoples House in Makurdi.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of delegation, Chief Patrick Ogbu said what informed their support and attraction to the governor’s re-election bid is his dogged and committed efforts in the defence of his people.
He described the law prohibiting open grazing in the state as a welcome development and assured the Governor of unflinching support to enable him succeed.
Chief Ogbu pointed out that, the numerous appointments given to the people of the area such as the retired Head of Service, Engr. George Edeh, Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Elvis Attah and the recent appointment of the first female, Head of Service in the state, Mrs Onyeke are among other reasons that have endeared the governor to the people of Ado.
On his part, Mr Anthony Ogbu said the people of Ado would ensure the re-election of the Governor by overwhelmingly supporting him.
Responding, Governor Ortom said his administration is working assiduously to ensure amicable settlement of the land dispute between Agila and people of Mgbom from Ebonyi State.
